Any recommendation of plastic storage boxes for my garage? Requirements are:

No more than 12" tall and 18" wide to fit my shelves - length can vary

Harder opaque plastic, rather than the thinner transparent semi-flexible kind

Hinged lids

Don't have to be waterproof - just tight enough to keep out most bugs, dust, etc

I can vouch for the Acro-Mils product.

I have had about 100 of the grey Acro-Mills that have been through at least 6 moves over the last 20 years and except for a couple of cracked lids because of over stacking too much weight on top of them they are as good as the day I bought them.

Some good recommendations, but not cheap... boxes under 12" are harder to find and far less useful. Any possibility of reconfiguring at least part of your shelves?

I did something similar in my garage last winter, but I basically rebuilt my shelves around the dimensions of the "standard" flip top tubs available about anywhere cheap. I've only broken one, and that was pretty egregious misuse.
