So this is my beginning of my workshop that I started in late 2008. I really wanted a workshop so that I could easily work on the little project on my house that I work on. Below you will see the steel beams which are connected to the rest of the house by straps. Then other pictures of my walls.

In the next few pictures is the last part I contracted out the work because I did not see drywall and sandblasting getting done by me. This was done sometime in 2009 spring and summer. In the front of my garage I have about a nine and a half foot ceiling which is where when I'm done paying this all off I may add a lift. Sandblasting and drywall done. I'm gonna take some more pictures of the addition I put in this year like the shelves, crawl space and workbench. More soon.

Nice. Why the steel beams?

A previous addition to the house by a previous owner had removed a shear exterior wall. Using the steel frames I was able to bring the house to current seismic standards without having to installed any prefabricated specialty shear walls or any seismic retrofit to the rest of the house.
