Attaching christmas lights with screened gutter guards

Never done christmas lights and never wanted to, but with the kids getting bigger it wouldn't kill me to at least put a row of christmas lights up to satisfy them.. I have the gutter guards that I will leave a link below to. And they look as if they got big holes which would be no problem but they also have a fine screen over the holes. How can I attach Christmas lights with these? There's lots of options for attaching to the J-trim that holds the soffit in place, I use clothespins and just replace them every year. End of season grab the end of the lights and let her rip, clothespins just rip in half and all the lights come right down

Get one of those red green laser projectors. It was the best thing I ever did for lights. No muss, no fuss, no hanging off the gutter, wondering if the ladder will stand itself back up.

I put up aluminum finish nails on my facia ust below the gutter. They stick out 1/2" and don't rust. Really can't see them the rest of the year.

If your gutter guards are installed with screws you can back out a screw every 4 ft and put a piece of aluminum or copper wire off it. Hang the lights off that. If you use steel the wire will rust.

I got a bunch of copper plated cup hooks and screwed them into the vertical surface of the soffit under the gutters. I can string up all my C9 bulbs and icicle lights in about 30 minutes. It also makes all the bulbs lay just about perfectly flat.

You must have the only operational one left.
I bought two the year they came out. I had to return brand new ones twice just to get two that worked new out of the box. Only one lasted two seasons. Everyone else I know with them reported similar experiences. I will never buy a "Bulb Head" product again.

Couldn't you zip tie them to the screen.

If you have easy ladder access a small dot of hot glue is cheap, works great, and leaves no mess. Unless of course you consider all the burns you give yourself while climbing up and down a ladder with a hot glue gun a mess...

The guard is covered in a fine screen. Like what you'd find in a window or smaller.

Thanks guys I'll jump up there this weekend and see what I have to work with.

I tell my wife it’s just not possible to hang lights with the gutter guard I’ve gotten 2 winters now
