My wife has her Gold Award in a closet and I'm framing it for display. I want to include the two badges she got with it. I'm curious if anyone has attached Girl/Boy Scout badges to matte board, and how it was done.
I haven't been able to find anything about this specific combination. Most of what I found was gluing them to fabric sashes.
I've thought of using glue, but I thought there might be a better way so the badges don't get ruined.
Some possibilities:
1. Sewing them with fishing line. Might be hard to push thru the matte board and might not look clean.
2. Using some sort of wide-head rivet/bolt. The head might be too high and this could look ugly.
3. Using the pressure of the glass front and matte board backing to hold them. If the matte board flexes, the badges will fall.
Anyone got any better ideas?
Thanks!
