Alright guys my name is Tom and I'm a toolaholic.

I like to spend my free time buying and selling tools. It seems to me I buy more then I sell though. I just hold these tools and enjoy them wayyy to much. Do I really need that KRA-222b 1/4 socket holder. No but for some reason it is sitting in my box. Are you guys the same way? What tools have you bought and held on to?

I don't think I have ever sold one of my tools. I do buy tools and give them to a couple of the people that work for me though. Circular saw, jig saw, combo wrenches, sockets and ratchets, wood router and router bits, pliers, knives, pry bars, electric sander, and a few other things I can't remember.

I sell what I don't need. I don't like hanging on to anything I don't need.

I got to have them, its as simple as that, really look for rin,,, sometimes its not what it is but what it does, if I buy another socket it has to have a point, very few just because they are a deal but because it makes or saves money usually thru reduced labor.

It's just stuff. Stuff can be replaced and you can't take it with you. I love my tools but I've got a lot higher priorities in life than emotional attachment to material objects.

I love buying tools, especially if I get a really good deal. I usually look for the stuff that is rusted because they are easy to clean up and people sell them cheap! I've been upgrading my tools the past couple of months but I always have a place for the old stuff. :D

I'm addicted to buying tools. Every time I'm on the snap on tool truck its like a kid in a candy store. Everything I buy though has a point and is used.

Yea I guess because I'm a college student I don't have as many priorities.

I've made a living buying and selling them for 20 years, its just $$$$$$$$$$$$ to me. I'm more into the big score cheap then selling for crazy price. Its sort of like shooting a trophy buck. I do keep antique woodworking tools though.

I have sold many tools, either because they were antique collectors that I wouldn't want to use/damage or because I have acquired a better version, such as with my belt sander, mill, several bench grinders, etc.

What's your plan of attack to unload the tools? Big items Craigslist, or eBay on SO and small stuff? I would love to dedicate my "job" to buying and selling tools.. It would be a lot of work sorting and researching pricing, but, so much fun!
