If you own a HF multitool, can you check yours and tell me how many oscillations per minute it has?

The HF link claims 19,000
http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=67256

Mine says 11,000, on both the box and the label attached to the power cord. Curiously, as on most power tools, mine has no sticker on the tool itself.

So, does yours say 11,000 or 19,000? Thanks

There is a newer version of this tool which is variable speed, much faster than 11k opm (somewhere between 19K and 21k opm top speed IIRC) and grey in color IIRC. Maybe they are using that motor/gearbox in newer versions of the red unit (just a guess).

yeah, I just posted about the variable speed version. That's how I came to notice the discrepancy in the opm listing.

bump

anybody else? I know more guys have these....

What I really want to know is if higher opm = better or faster cuts. I believe Fein goes up to 21,000 opm.

If there actually is a 19,000 opm HF version (non-variable) I would probably exchange mine.
