With the different temperature swings in a attic, what is the best product for decking. I currently have 1x8's but they have come loose and started curling.

Screw down the loose ones and any others as they loosen in the future.

Concrete; obviously! But, that's probably not the answer you were looking for!

OSB would be your cheapest option

Most stable, yes. Cheapest?

Screw down the loose ones and any others as they loosen in the future.

This would be the cheapest! How much does a handful of screws cost?
And I'd go ahead a screw'em all! Then I probably wouldn't have to worry about it again.

I like the decking screws that HD and Lowes sells. They have a fat looking phillips head, and come with a bit. They screw in very nicely, without any stripping. That, and OSB is like $7 a sheet I think.. I like regular plywood, but the price goes up quick..

Depending on how bad the cupping is I would either just drill down what you now have or flip over any real bad ones and then drill them down.

I assume you don’t need dance floor flatness.

I'm hoping to get to mine over the next couple of weeks. I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with OSB. Cheep, easy and its only storage for holiday decorations and stuff.
