Greetings, Everyone!
My name is Attila, I'm 25 years old (26 in March), Hungarian by nationality and am living in Serbia, Europe.
I'm a student of farming machinery mechatronics, which is to say that my field should be electronics. I say "should be" because I prefer being a grease-monkey to being a squeaky clean electronics maintenance guy (call me crazy but that's just the way it is). I wish to specialize in farming machinery hydraulics maintenance - that's about the dirtiest job I can imagine
And it's real fun.
I'm using my electronics knowledge to build and sell gadgets for combine harvesters. Here in Serbia we still have many combine harvesters that are ancient technology by modern standards, and are in dire need of some automation. I have started by making digital tachometers and now I'm in the process of developing an automatic cutterbar height adjustment system. The money I'll get from selling these gadgets will be invested into quality tools.
Right now I don't have many hand tools to boast with, nor do I have a machine shop... But I'm working towards getting it all by myself.
I'll be focusing on quality European brands such as Italian "Beta" and "USAG", German "Stahlwille", "Bosch - blue" and others. So when I manage to gather up some basic, quality tools into my toolbox, I'll show you guys some pics.
It'll take some time though, being that I'm still a student, with a seasonal job doing combine harvester maintenance.
Anyhow, I've registered here because I found many interesting threads about tools, and laughed a lot at threads such as the one about people letting/not letting their wives use their tools. That one was a riot!
All in all, I like the people and the overall atmosphere here, so I believe that we'll all get along just fine!
Cheers to you all!
