For a few years my wife had an eBay business selling a mix of tools and fly fishing stuff since I could help her with values, condition, etc. It finally got to the point the time and effort didn't make sense so she stopped adding anything and is letting things sell off so she can close the business, hopefully later things year. All of the more expensive stuff is either still listed, or long gone but there's a lot of useable stuff left that's inexpensive. First up is woodworking stuff....Stanley planes, plane hardware, totes/knobs, and a couple of bit and brace setups. As an example, the planes are mostly going to be in the $10-25 range, and she's just looking to get back what she paid for them. Ideally the smaller stuff like the hardware or totes/knobs we could bundle. I'm going to list the plane sizes below...let me know what size you're interested in and I'll tell you what type and price she's got available.
For the most part the Stanley planes are type 19 and 18 but a few are older. Two of the braces are Millers Falls, one is a Craftsman and one unbranded Made in US brace. Some of the knobs and totes have damage, a few have glue repairs that isn't obvious in the pictures, a few were in the process of being stripped and a few are NOS. As an example of pricing, she'd probably be happy with $35 + shipping for all the knobs and totes just to move them. I sent notes to a couple of guys who sell large volumes of Stanley parts on eBay but never heard back from either one. I was going to offer them the entire pile for $400 plus shipping...I'm sure she'd be happy with that to clear out some space.
The plane breakdown is one No. 3, ten No. 4s, seven No. 5s and one 5-1/2.
Update: Stanley No. 5-1/2 and one No. 5 are sold. I found the No. 3 has a crack at the mouth, so it's a parts plane (desirable Type 11 which is a bummer) Plenty of 4s and 5s left.
