What do you guys do for ATV storage?

I've had an idea to build a sort of rack for storing mine, as I have a couple. I thought about basically building a deck a little higher than one ATV with four legs, and on casters with brakes. So I could put one ATV on top of the rack, then stick another right underneath it.

I figure I could just use some regular aluminum ramps to load and unload it off the rack. It shouldnt be much higher than the bed of a truck...

I came up with that idea after seeing that wall mounted lift for stuff. I dont want to spend the money on that lift, but have plenty of steel around to build the rack...

I'll see if I can't draw something up as an example...

Any thoughts?

I don't know what type of ATV you have, but we used to store my brother's Honda 300EX standing straight up and against a wall. We did turn the petcock to off and ran the carb dry. He would also be able to fit 2 in the bed of his truck this way!

i've thought about that, and have actually stored a couple like that before, but I dont think you could get 2 in the same amount of space...maybe though...

What about getting some type of four post lift with a solid deck option? Then you could put a bunch of stuff on top and still have room to park your car underneath. Don't know how much ceiling room you have though... just a thought!

is this what your looking for?

With a lifting capacity of up to 1,200 pounds and a deck size of 4'X 8', Its strong enough and large enough to hold a full size motorcycle! Fully motorized.

I have several restored 3 wheels and two ATVs. I plan to use Pallet racks to store them.

thats what I have. I restored a couple ATC's too....Pallet racks are a good idea, but I'm not sure if they're deep or wide enough depending how you look at it...
