Got this post drill at an auction this weekend, it's a canedy otto brand. It's from an elderly man's estate. (post included)
I think it has been sitting a long time, i sprayed WD40 on it , but it's going to take something with more penetrating power than that to free this baby up. I am going to try PB blaster tomorrow. For $21, I am happy with it, ( my hernia operation is scheduled for next week) ...just joking!

Nice find. You can try a 50/50 mix of ATF and Acetone supposed to work better than any commercial penetrate spray.

Makes for a nice conversation piece. However, to use it to make a hole in steel, you've got to HAVE to have that hole, not just want it. That's what apprentices were for, back in the bad old days.

Still how it goes to this day... when I was having my septic/well inspection done, the younger kid got to hand dig looking for the tank cover while the older guy watched. (There was none, and he dug about 30 square feet up!)

Found out later he is the new apprentice :)
