Auction haul, and a few questions.

Well, I just got back from a day at an auction, and I've ended up with a few questions.

First of all, here's the whole lot.


Now, there are a few things here that I'm planning to sell, but I have absolutely no idea what to ask for them.

First, is this little lot of 9/32" drive tools.
Are these rare, or not so rare?
I know Plomb seems to be a fairly desirable brand.

Two Plomb breaker bars, one Plomb extension, one Snap On extension, and one Plomb universal joint. Like I said, their all 9/32" drive.


And second, is this rather unusual set of blackhawk crowfoot sockets.
I've never seen this style before.

I'll probably Pm Bull and see if he can use these, but I just don't have the foggiest idea what to ask for them.



Any help would be appreciated.

Are the Plomb's WF-**?

If so then they are Wright Field contract tools made during WWII. There are collectors of these tools. Don't know if the are too valuable, depends on who is buying or how rare the model numbers are.

Yup, they are all marked with WF except for the universal.

The breaker bars are WF-7, the extension is WF-5, and the universal is 4870.

The Snap On extension is M-60-G.

I'll take a look on Google and see what I can find.

I'd also search ebay on the plomb. I'm no expert on the collector market but don't plan on retiring off the proceeds lol.

I'm guessing $5 to 10 on the breakers each, less then $5 on the ext. each.

Blackhawks, $5 to 8 each.

That IR gun is a classic workhorse!!

Bar puller set $40 to $50.

Guesses to be sure. I often price tools off what I paid for them with the profit margin I want and if I get what I want, I don't care if someone gets a great deal off me, I got what i wanted.

For the record: the Blackhawk items are from an eleven-piece caster/camber adjustment set.

The Proto bar puller usually go for fairly good money on Ebay but the IR impact wrench is a cheap line import not a higher dollar item like a 231 or 244 would be.

I think I'm leaning towards keeping that.
I'm not sure, there is also a New Britain puller.
I'm not sure which one, (if either) I'm going to sell.

I was a little surprised to see that it was made in Japan.
Oh well, it doesn't really matter.
It works great, and it seems plenty powerful, and it only cost $5.00...

I'll keep my eye out for a better one, but I certainly have no complaints about this one.

Those crow's foot wrenches look like they might be for vacuum modulators. The wrench for a Ford vacuum modulator looked like that but I think the wrench was smaller. There might have been different sizes, it's been a while.

that bar puller is awesome, i have looked around and cant seem to find a current version made
