I was at an auction this past week and picked up this material cart that had some tool boards mounted on each side. I'm suspecting that this was possibly a display of how not to treat your tools in a manufacturing facility...

Some of the tools are pretty beat, but some could be usable with some new handles, etc. I like the Wilton clamp, but it could use a new swivel pad. Some of the hammers don't look too bad, but will probably need a new handle.

This unit was purchased for $25.

Also bought an identical material cart (but without the tools) for $12.

Any guesses on the use of some of those odd ball tools??

At the same auction I also picked up these face shields for $1 for the lot of four of them.

Three of them are Jackson brand.

I'm thinking they just need a good cleaning before I put them into service. I want one at each of the areas in my garage where I'm doing grinding or sanding that will send metal sparks flying....

I also picked up a box lot of these magnetic tool holders for the side of a tool box. Looks like they would be good for cans or random tools. Not the best picture of them... That box lot also included a number of AckroMill Bins, included the giant yellow one.

Also got a Flammable trash bin for $3.

I spent the most money on the Flammable Cabinet at $75...

Also got a box lot of air hoses... Tested them and ended up with five that are in great shape-- 3/8" hose with 1/4" connectors on them. Have another few of 1/2" hose and 3/8" connectors that I have not test yet... Paid $5 for all of the hose....

I had hoped to get a Stronghold cabinet, but they went for more than I wanted to pay.... Maybe another time....

How do you find these auctions? Can you post a close up of the L and the extension with bit on the backside of the board?

You don't screw a hammer to a board if you plan on using it, so must be some weird display. My first thought was examples of tool abuse.
