After talking with bull and bmwpower, They have granted me permission to hold an auction to help Scott Cramer. For those that don't recognize that name please look here: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=95298

I recently sold a bunch of vintage ads here on GJ, and thought there might be enough interest to start an auction. There will be 4 different lots, they will be numbered and you will use the letter to give a bid.

I have seen other forums do these. The easiest way is just to start bidding at say $1. First come first serve if two people post $2 then the first one on the post gets it.

<<<<<<<<<NO P.M.'s>>>>>>>> REPEAT: NO PM'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you send me a pm trying to make a bid or wanting a buyout (which is really rude, but some heartless sob's have done it before) I will not respond. You are welcome to send PM's for questions, etc. but not about money. All business stays here, to keep things fair.

Very straight forward just like an actual live auction, only it lasts a week. I am going to cover postage, so bid like postage is needed and it will all get sent to Scott.

Auction will end sometime in the evening of the 24th. I will pm bull and bmwpower about exact time to make it legit, but do not what to publicly post ending time. I do not want to do this to eliminate snipping, etc. IF YOU WANT IT, BID LIKE YOU WANT IT.

Most importantly guys, keep in mind what this is: we are helping a fellow member, so let's be civil, and handle things accordingly. I would like to see this work, so we can do these in the future, as the are a really good tool in helping those that need it.

all ads are from 1950. five pages per lot. three lots are of my biggest selling subjects, and one is of ads that have never been listed on GJ, that's right guys, the only time these have been available. these measure about 5.5 x 8 inches

LOT A:

Five Snap on ads (black and white ads do not have the weird rainbow thing on it (it's from the scanner))

If anyone is interested in adding items to this auction please send pics and info to me. don't post here. I will put them in the op or reserved area, so it is all together and not spread out. put in info like how much to include for shipping (if you're not covering postage like I am), measurements, etc.

you don't have to add items but there was some interest expressed and bull said it would be alright. I will keep track of bids for you just like I am doing for mine.
