3 Parker vises, 974, 954, and I'm not sure the model of the last one (far left, swivel off the base, newer Parker), plus a tool box full of goodies!

All the vises are in great condition, and will restore nicely.

Tell me what brand is that screwdriver (not the klein with the orange/red plastic kote) but the other klein type screwdriver, does it have any brand name printed on it?

They look to be made by the same company... neither has a brand name... one has a patent # and USA, the other only states MADE IN USA

So far I have only kept 1 vise that I bought, and it's a really beat up static wilton bullet. I could have used some of them too, as my daily driver is a modern POS Craftsman 5" that is ready to be replaced after only 6 years. And I always end up selling them for some reason (well... for the $).

Maybe I'll keep one of these 2 swivel Parkers... we'll see

The socket set is cute It looks very similar to one that I have - kind of an Indestro copy made in Japan. They look nice hanging above the workbench. The really neat thing about it is that it is absolutely unused - mine has seen its fair share of abuse/misuse and lack of care (missing a few sockets and slightly bent hex keys as well as rust from being left in water at some point). Beat things back into shape and cleaned them up the best I could. Sees use on light jobs just for the heck of it. Are you planning on keeping it exactly as is or using it?

p.s. My OCD says the ratchet needs to be reversed so that the set accurately reflects the picture of the set on the box

That's not your OCD, it's your superior vision. Looking more closesly, the uper clip is tilted from level the opposite way as the top of the ratchet. with the head to the left, it doesn't fit correctly.

Are you planning on keeping it exactly as is or using it?

I don't think I'll use it. And... my shop is not one of those where I'd hang something nice on the wall. I WANT to be one of those guys with a nice clean organized shop, and I never get there (or stay there). Plus my basement walls are damp...

I'll either put it in a drawer (and have someone discover it after I die), or sell it to someone who can have it on display

Funny how things work out but the op was more interested in the vises and he overlooked the small items in the tool box. Lucky for me when dog fights happen over the big ticket items I dive into the everyday sight unseen humdrum items and that simple screwdriver is just that case.

It is not a klein screwdriver although I can see why everyone would think that rather it was made by the Bridgeport Hardware Mfg. Corp.

The Patent Number was Feb. 3rd 1959 and the person who came up with that design was Mr. John H. Coyle.

So there you go op a real vintage tool story on your hands as they say.

OK... another question on these auction winnings... this time on one of the vises



What... What in the world happened here?

Was someone just really angry at this vise?

I was planning to keep one of these on my own bench, so I guess it will be this one. I filled it in with bronze, as much for the brazing practice as for how it looked.
