It's a cheap Chinese import, probably the same as the Titan and all the other clones. Many are made in the same factories. If you're talking the sub-10kw portables, they're light-duty, high-RPM diesels... not a prescription for long lasting. Only one I would consider would be the Perkins-powered 10kw.
What output rating/portability are you looking for?

I do not have one myself, I do have 2 friends that have them. They use them stictly for backup power, about 3 times a year. Typical run time is 3-4 hours, although one major storm they ran for 4 days straight. One is in Maine, the other NH. I believe they are both the 6500w units. No issues, the only complaint is that they are loud, they run at 3600rpm. I take that back, one of them complains about having issues keeping the battery charged. I am not sure if that is him or the generator. I am considering one, I would love to get an 1800rpm unit... but those are too rich for me and I only need one about once a year, so these are near the top of my list if I ever pull the trigger.
They are assembled in Canada; I believe they use some components from China. All the reviews are very good, if you can believe that. I too would like a unit that runs at a slower rpm, hard to justify 3 or 4 times the money for a back-up unit. I suspect I would use it 8 or 10 times a year for a duration of 4-6 hrs each time.

They are the best of the Yanmar clones out there.
I have the Titan version and it's pretty good. The Aurora generator is better though.

I know long term it wouldn't be possible for me to store, transport, any of the fuels indicated above.
Costs for NG is higher over the long run. But, having uninterrupted and reliable supply for me is the best way.
Don't have to worry about gas going bad, storage, or driving out in the dead of winter hoping to find a station to fill my low reserves etc.
If someone could make a low rpm NG unit with great fuel consumption on a shoe string budget. I would be buying it in a heart beat thats for sure!

They're a generic Chinese generator, the same Yanmar clone engine as all the others, same basic case design, shared alternators, etc. I highly doubt they're made in Canada.
The factory/assembly pictures show a control panel in Mandarin, and all employees pictured of Asian descent. I'd rather buy a cheap import gasser locally (I hear Princess Auto has similar stuff to HF), where parts availability will be less of an issue, and more are produced. Gasoline does not store as well as diesel, but you wan to exercise your generator with load frequently. The reports I've heard on the 6500W's (mostly the ones in the sound enclosure) have all been poor.
Two gassers would be cheaper and more reliable then the single diesel

I had a similar (ETQ) model. Once you are done running it be careful to turn off the ignition switch. If you don't, the unit will continue to clock hours on its meter (even though the engine is not running) and run the battery down.
