Anybody have one? I’m looking for a basic code reader and this seems like it would fit the bill for about $30. I have a car with a check engine light on which is my motivation. I only work on my own cars so this thing will spend most of it life in the toolbox.

I got the Al319 model and works pretty good. You can read the O2 sensors, air mass meter not bad for the price.

The Launch CR319 will do codes and live data for $20 in a more compact unit than the AL419.

The Hyper Tough HT200 is another tool to consider if you have a smartphone to pair it with. $50 and it will read engine, trans, abs, srs, etc. live data, codes, plus perform some relearn and reset functions. The HT200 is just a Walmart's rebrand of the Autel AP200 at a slightly lower price point.

Thinkdiag is a good option (basically a software/vci version of Launch Diagun)

Available in single brand if you only work your own car or pro with all brands

Will comm with all modules on a car (not just emissions related)

Bidirectional/graphs data/special functions etc

You do need an Android device and an Internet connection

If you have a Ford Forscan/Forscan Lite are also really excellent and almost free (you just buy a VCi)

I have an Ancel AD410 and it works pretty damn good for the money, I think it was $40 or so off Ebay.
