Does somebody make a smaller case for just the tablet & VCI by any chance...? How about a screen protector?

I left my plastic film on there that it came with. You can always get a tablet protector the same size or cut to fit.

I would like the vci if thats its name to be velcroed to the tablet body or have a pouch to hold it. Alway think im going to lose it. Thank god for the alarm.

I just don't do a lot of OBD I stuff, so carrying around all those connectors and extra weight is obnoxious. I'd like the tablet, VCI, chargers & cable. Throw the connectors in a box/bag in my toolbox & call it a day.

I bought a screen protector sheet on ebay. Was pretty easy to install. A laptop case is the ideal way to move scanners around IMO.

HF has some nice hard cases with foam inside. You just have to cut the foam to fit whatever you want. I think they have 3 sizes in stores, but honestly the small one is worthless due to size.

As for a screen protector, I wonder if a cell phone gorilla glass (or similar) would fit. Just looked, amazon sells cut to fit screen protectors from $4 on up

My Panasonic toughbook tablet sits in a charging cradle and runs 12 hrs a day, I use it for tech info and invoicing as well as the scan tool, the bluetooth interface is in a box with other diag gear.

Once you get used to the wireless VCI you dont forget to remove it

I'll remember the VCI, I have been using a blue driver for years now lol. My issue is that the case for this scan tool is massive and I really only need the tablet, vci and charger. The USB cord & OBD 1 cables can stay at gone unless I know I'll need them. So I'd like something that can house and keep from moving around those 3 things.

Are you going to be working mobile out of a vehicle or out of a toolbox?

I work out of a van, carry cases quickly become tiresome and take up too much space

If I was working in a shop out of a toolbox I would be hanging it on the toolbox or toolcart so it's always ready to go

The only stuff I keep in blow moulded cases are tools I use less frequently, I might use the scan tool or tech data between 5-10 times per shift

Harbor freight cases were a bit too tall. Back to the drawing board

I'd like a hard case. Something protective enough for getting knocked around but small enough for tablet, charger & VCI. So it's easy to carry instead of the suitcase it comes with lol

Hey now. I take care of my stuff. The tablet is 10 x 7 x 1.5 so I'd assume 16 x 9 x 3 would be good or whatever is closest
