Hey guys, I've been looking the Power Probe III for shade tree work and noticed that Autel has the PS100. There's more info on the Autel PS100 here. I can get one from Amazon for about $90.

Does anyone have any experience with the Autel PS100? Is it worth it or should I just go with the Power Probe III?

It depends on what features and accessories are available. The power probe 3 is more than adequate if all you are going to do is use it to send power and accessories are readily available.

I went with the Autel for half the price. I don't like the construction (feel) but short of resistance readings it does what I need.

Both it and the Powerprobe have 5 star Amazon reviews. Why pay more? If critical test measurements are needed I get my Fluke.

I have the PowerProbe version in Mi, but bought the Autel version for the Az garage to save some money.

I like the original Power probe (III?) better, but for the price difference the Autel is good enough for my purposes.

I have had the Autel for about two years, it's a pretty good bang for the buck. I like that it comes with a super long cord and an extension cord which makes using it on the rear end of a big truck that much easier. The tip is removable too, and it all fits nicely in a pretty compact case.

I use a multimeter. M12 battery if I need to power something to test.
