Hi guys.
I’m building a street rod. I found an a/c condenser that fits perfectly to the rad support. Only issue is the lines are on drivers side and would prefer them to be on passenger side. It has a bolt up drier connected to a short hose that is welded to the condenser. I was going to turn the condenser upside down and the the hoses would be where I would like them but the drier is upside down. I may be able to bend the aluminum line and get the drier right side up but if it will work upside down I’d leave it.
So.. will a drier work upside down or not. Lol. Thanks.

Ok. Won’t matter with the condenser right? Being upside down that is...

The lines may be different sizes.

Tommy
They usually are. And if they are, the high side pressure will be way too hi. I learned that the hard way, in 1970! Installed an under dash in my 65 Dart GT, fitted it all up with salvage parts. Started charging. about the time I saw what was happening to the pressure it blew a hose.

Flipped the condenser over, adapted hoses, all Good.

Experience is a hard teacher.

Problem solved. Did some creative bending on the aluminum line coming off the condensor. Fits now.
