Been thinking of getting a lift for just hobby usage. Both garages have low ceilings so I thought about a Max Jax but three of my old cars have running boards and splash aprons so very tall extensions would be required, and be difficult to line up under the frame rails. Found this 4 post with post height of 82" which would easily fit in either garage. It would also be low enough to possibly roll out to the large flat concrete area between the two garages for work at full height.
Has anyone taken this approach? I'm in socal so normally weather isn't a concern, as I wouldn't expect to leave it out in the rain, but could envision leaving it out for perhaps weeks in the warmer months. Any experience doing this. Are these cheaper 4-posts to flimsy to move around? I see the casters are on the ends facing across the ramps allowing movement, so it would have to come out sideways.
