And yes I like black tools! I love my proto 1/4 and 1/2 drive black ratchets and my lone Allen 23mm black combo wrench.

It's weird the broaches are silver inside. I wonder if that's protective paint like SK uses or just a cheap black finish on the outside. They look laser etched only and not stamped which may wear off in time. For that price I wouldn't pay that much, but maybe slap a promo code on it. I have a cheap black chrome husky set in my truck for quick fixes and bs like that. It works, but nothing special. It all depends what you want it to do.

I scored a set on eBay for $36 w/shipping new. I can slip a proto black 1/4 drive ratchet in the case and have a nice set for the family car.

So the only reason you bought it was because they were black? I thought you were in a pinch the other day and needed something quick. Autocraft isn't a great brand and yiu could have bought a better gearwrench set for a few bucks more, no?

I have plenty of gearwrench/ craftsman sockets. Yes I wanted black! Least there Taiwan not China. My favorite sockets are proto. Very well finished but pricey.
