I recently sold a vehicle and have been on a serious online buying spell of anything automobilia (garage art and collectables). I know there are a few members on here that have some incredible collections. Hot Rod Grill comes to mind...awesome collection (love the bob's big boy). I've bben trolling Ebay and craigslist and have spent about $1k in the last week.
I know a collector locally that has an INCREDIBLE collection. He's got a warehouse/showroom downtown that you would never even know is there from the outside. Well some years back I was lucky enough to have my camcorder on me and able to walk through the place..AMAZING! Apparantly he's got around $1 million just in automobilia. He showed me single cans of oil that he paid $8k for.
So let's see and hear stories regarding some cool scores that you were lucky enough to stumble upon. I remeber when I went to Barrett-Jackson seeing so much cool stuff, unfortunately I was not in a place to buy then.
Repops are nice, but Vintage (patina'd)stuff is just too cool.
