For the auto techs out there, what do you keep in the box for adding and removing wires from molex and other style connectors? I always end up using some combination of paper clips to get the pins out. Are there any tools you can recommend? I see that Lisle offers a couple sets that appear like they would do the trick, but thought I would ask first. Thanks

In school we made a 1mm and a 1.5mm probe out of strips of spring steel.
They are much stronger than the type you can buy.

what are you working on? lots of different connectors out there, some are specific to manufactuer only, some tool sets can become very expensive very quickly... like MB's use of off the wall Deutsch connectors in various forms (not the ones you can get off the shelf)

I've purchased quite a few kits and can tell you that making your own is the way to go.

I purchased the Snap-on Sets with the soft grip handles. Haven't used them a lot but they came in very handy when I needed them.

Use the steel strip from an old wiper blade and grind to fit (width) roll the opposite end and Voila instant removal tool.

I know that this thread is ancient, but I just have to thank you for this tip. That material is so strong for its size. I tried it today, and it worked fantastically. Saved me some money, and more sturdy than most of the tools available for sale.
