Automotive Forum Recommendation?

Wondering if anyone recommend an online automotive forum they've had good experience with. I've been studying up on how to understand more of the data my OBDII scan tool provides, and have some questions Google hasn't been able to answer. This wouldn't be manufacturer specific, rather more generic stuff, so a forum that only targets specific makes/models might not be a good fit.

That sounds like a tool related question to me

I would like to read your questions and offer advice

Scannerdanner has a generic forum and his videos/book are good

Yea, I realized it wasn't a direct tool question, but perhaps more of a, 'how do I learn how to use a tool better." Anyway, the site I used to use has shut down and I wasn't sure where else to ask.

I've watched a bunch of ScannerDanner's vids and they are indeed helpful.

Wells is now called Gotech -

When the presenter above joined them, Mike Becker, the quality of production and instruction jumped up. Maybe 3-4 years ago? Very good style of presentation.

IMO the MOST valuable things to understand with generic OBDII are fuel trims, Mode $6, and real vs. substituted data (if you play on the OE side).

Got an example of the sorts of questions you're asking or looking for more info on? What do you fix or diagnose? Automotive diagnostic forums are typically geared towards the professional market - and expect a certain level of knowledge. As you have found, the area between pulling codes and the pro forums like IATN or Diag.net is lacking in resources.

Thanks for the links, richfinn, I'll be sure to check them out.

I definitely agree with you on the quality of Wells-GoTech vids, 2ndGear. Came across them a few of weeks ago and they are top notch.
