Avatar - how to get it to show on my posts?

My Avatar is a nice photo of me and my wife. Is there some reason I can't get it to show when I post? I have asked about this before, to no avail. I got no reply.
Aside from that this site is great!

Is "Do not use avatar" selected under User CP?

You do not have a avatar uploaded. The picture you are talking about is uploaded to your profile picture.

Since he didn't reply back, I'm guessing he uploaded a picture for his avatar. Uploading a picture to your profile doesn't make it your avatar. Simple mistake/misunderstanding.

EDIT: I checked, you are doing the same thing he was doing. The picture you have uploaded is your profile picture, which can be seen when somebody is looking at your profile.

In the black banner above, click on User CP. This is your user control panel, down the left side you will see Settings and options Click on Edit Avatar and upload the picture you want.

Sadly, I don't remember what I did to make it work. It works, and that's enough for this old fellow.
