The thread about what to do with your tools got me thinking, ... not that Age really has everything to do with it but I'm curious as to what the avg. age of is of the people who frequent this Forum.

I'll be 53 this year.

Will be 65 on the 29 of June. I've been retired for 12 years and love it. OK you young guys and gals work smart and enjoy life in and out of the garage.

28. Trying to setup my garage/shop so that it will suit me till I'm 82. I've spent the last 6 years since I graduated from college saying "when I get my real shop.." and I've decided I'm happy with where I am, so I'm building what I want.

I " Can " retire now, but just am not ready for it. I'm looking at 2 more years, or until enough side work makes up for the extra income I want.

I'm set up very well to rebuild Automotive Cylinder Heads. I've had some real good months and then nothing for a few weeks. Ideally .... when going to work every day starts to interfer with me doing work at home ..... thats my sign to retire.

C'mon guys - the 50 to 60 year olds had a slight lead over us 40 to 50 year olds there for awhile. That's really bad considering that most of that group forgot why they were there after they clicked the link and didn't even vote :lol_hitti

I'm glad somebody asked this question. I was wondering about this.

I am 67 according to my birth certificate. My actual mental age is somewhere around 17.:3gears:

I retired last year at age 60. I signed up today for SS so I'll get to see some of that which I paid in for 40+ years. Wow has it really been that long? I'll get my first check in October.

Who knows?
25 'bout to be 26.
With a wife and two kids sometimes it feels more like 46, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.
My doggone kids just need to stop growing up so fast.

I personally really enjoy the older, wiser members on here. Im on other forums full of youngins and my generation just usually pisses me off. Hopefully ill be on here for a while as well, and wont outstay my welcome.

60 and semi-retired. I need to go find another part time job.........

I'm sort of surprised at the poll results so far. Fairly even among the categories, except for 40-50, and even that's not much.
