Curios what the average price is for an approach? Got one 14 foot. One 8 foot. 36"walk on. Just ones leading to grass. 6' long??

Figured that. Problem is contractor wants to offer that for free to help offset his grinding cost for his screw up. He's coming Saturday to discuss. Won't have time for complete estimates

He needs to fix his screw up for FREE. You can get estimates for the approach later if you decide you want it.

Sporty it is the concrete that is poured outside of your building in front of doors. Just a pad that takes you from grass, gravel or blacktop etc. To the actual building. Hope this helps you. I can get some pictures if that would help. Lol. Just messing back.

?? He's coming back to fix his screw up, which he is charging you for but to make you feel better he will pour a driveway apron "approach" for free?
Can't really decipher what it is you have going but guessing 14' wide 6' long, 8'wide 6' long and something 36" sidewalk? You can figure your yardage like the 14x6x4.5" thick is a little over a yard. What is going rate for your area here about $145/yard I'm guessing haven't priced in awhile .75-$1 for flat work/square foot, labor to set forms maybe 2 hours depends on site. So for that you could be around $350-500.
So what do you get if he screws up the approach?

Here on the Hoosier (it means redneck) side of the IL/IN border we call it a sidewalk. Sorry, couldnt resist.
Id say the cost of an "approach" depends on what its made of. Most homes Im aware of use simple pavers which can vary quite a lot in price depending on brick vs concrete vs marble etc. If youre wanting poured concrete, or at least the style, Id be looking at a few big "sidewalk" pavers just like the city puts down next to the street - large thick slabs of concrete ~3'x4'.

Sounds like flat work - around here, $4.50~6 sq/ft. That's labor and material.

He is having hard time with the 3,000 it cost to have it ground. Keeps offering to do the apron or approach. Side walk will be in front of walk in door. Maybe 3 foot out. Just need something g to go from grade or ground level to floor. I won't haves driveway to this building. Just the entry pads. Grass beyond that

No. He still has to fix screw up. If that concrete work cost 500 to do, then ill pay 250 of the 3000 and he can do that stuff. Im not letting him get away. Already spoke with lawyer. I just wondered how much work he is offering
Dave, I'd have him fix his mess and not allow him to do anything else. He has already proven his worth.

That's what I'm thinking nut. I already told him he wasn't doing anymore work for me. Father in law mentioned taking the approach because it would be hard for him to screw up. I want it fixed and I'm done. I can put the apron down in another year or so

Nope. He is paying somebody to grind floor. I will do my own little stuff or have someonelse do it

Well I've missed out on what happened that he has to fix. If he's paying to have it ground down, then forget the apron and get enough out of him for epoxy floors.
