I've been lurking here for a while and would like to thank the Garage Journal community for some great ideas and inspiration on organizing my garage. With some finds on craigslist and a lot of creative thought, this is where I am at:
Before:

Some craigslist finds:

As it is now:

Every thing should have a place and be in its place:

And this is what I park in my garage:

Vpogv, I paid 125 for four cabinets, I thought it was a great find and I made the others.
don long, the metal wall is just galvinized sheets from Lowes. 14"X20' rolls.

Well YOU ****!!!!

That's a great find on the cabinets. I'm also digging the V-Dub Bus. When seeing the older pic before you did anything with it (lowering) it looked almost like a 4wd. Nice work on it. And nice work on the garage!!

Nice work - classy, like your van.

Me an Mrs E took a 1990 Westfalia on a one year honeymoon around The US, Mexico, Guatemala and Belize. We look cool in the photo's, but in reality it was slow, cramped, and seriously underpowered. We get passed by 1950's trucks chock full of Mexicans....

Your title is all wrong. It should be "Above Average Working Man's Garage." The cabinets look amazing. It looks like you used aluminum flashing as backsplash material. I was planning to use it behind my rakes and shovels. I love the VW Bus. I used to be a VW nut way back but only ever had a '64 Bug. Well done!
