Im looking at led lighting for my tool box and locker but need some ideas. We dont have power bays, as something to do with 240volts and a metal tool box and health and safety. Anyways ive made my own , for charging and mobile phones and lappy top, the power point also has usb ports and is surge protected, how ever it also has blue led's, that gotta me a thinking? How about led's in the locker, as it a lot dark in there, also the top of my box maybee in the lid. Has anybody done this or can point me in a thread direction

Thanks

Colin

Go on eBay, look up LED strips and 12v power supplies. All can be had cheaply and installed easily.

This is what i did for lighting in my van as the standard cargo light is useless:

There are a lot of LED strip options on ebay. From aluminium-chassis epoxy-encased ones like mine to flexible strips you cut to length. Even Ikea sell similar kits.

Power supplies are plentiful too, in varying outputs from 240v down to 12v in a small unit.

They're pretty bright. Those are just over 12" long, and have 18 LEDs in each. I have 12 of them in the van and they light it up perfect.

One in the locker and a couple in the box lid would be more than enough. They're quite slim too so can be tucked out of sight with double sided tape, but also come with clips. (I riveted the clips to holes in the roof supports.)
