"Cosmetic" issues, that is why it is in the warehouse. Minor scratches, discoloration, things like that. (I would hazard a guess someone bought it not realizing it was in 'inch lbs' and returned it). A large majority of the time AWS indicates cosmetic damage and when I get the item, it looks brand new...

Keep in mind that the price will continue to drop until someone buys it, so if you're interested in it, check the price every week or so

i have found that "item will come repackaged" usually means that there is box damage, not necessarily item damage.

having said that, if these were combination wrenches, i wouldn't worry about it. but it is an instrument, and i, personally, would be leery of buying something like that with "large" damage of any kind.

while AWD prices used to go down over time, i have found that to be a lot less common now. they seem willing to let things hang out a long time without dropping prices. OTOH, it might be, as i have seen before, that they really have 5 (or something) of them, they just list them one at a time. that way, it seems like it has been there forever, but they may be slowly moving out, you just can't see it.

There is another for $80 that has a better condition: "Used - Like New; Item will come in original packaging. Packaging will be damaged"

I wish I had some extra money in the tools budget right now, but alas. Next time!
