Axe and Hammer Identification

Hello,

I bought this axe and hammer today for dollar each at a yard sale. They were badly rusted when I bought them, but I could tell there was some writing underneath all the rust. Anyone familiar with these logo/trademarks? I don't think the hammer is all that old as it has "Made in USA" stamped beneath the Partially Circled A.

The hammer is an Atha.

Thanks for the information on the hammer. I was hoping someone would know who made the axe as well. I found one like on ebay, but they didn't know who made it either.

the axe is a Council Tools. Marking. Nice find. Good quality US made Axe head.
