I've got several heavy industrial totes, about 20"x14"x14" tall. The stands lay sideways inside - usually 2 small and 2 large - and the tote slides onto the bottom shelf of my 18" deep shelving.

Nothing gets in the way or collects dirt like a floor jack and stands sitting out LOL

My drill press is a benchtop press, but I mounted it on a metal cabinet. Under the cabinet are two shelves where I store my jackstands and bottle jacks. You don't see them until you need them.

I store my stands on a slide out pannel that is mounted under my workbench. The second picture shows the panel extended out and the four jack stands are mounted below and beside the hardware organizer. I can get a better picture if you are interested.

I have old J hooks (the kind that used to be common on truck beds) screwed to the rafters and I hang them upside down, so they clear tall heads, but are still in reach.

Shopnut, as usual, your solution is practical and elegant. Out of the way, and out of sight.

I store my jack stands on shelves just inside the main overhead door along with other items that I often take outside to use (air line, extension cord reel, tote tray, wash buckets, etc.) I also keep a fire there extinguisher just in case. The 5 gal. compressor is my back up and it sits on one of my 4 car wheel dollies so I can take it out side or load it in my trailer if needed. It comes on when I turn on the lights and is great for filling tires, etc. in the driveway. It's also good for light duty bench work or drill press work when I am only in the garage for an hour or so.

Dammit. You folks have once again brought it to my attention that my garage is a mess again. Now I know what I'll be doing tomorrow. I typically store mine on a shelf in the shed. When I need them I carry them around to the garage. They are still laying in the garage though because the shed is full of **** and I can't get to the shelf they go on..... I may have to get rid of some stuff. Dang.
