Howdy,
I'm new here and another one of those guys from the H.A.M.B. that followed Ryan C. here. I've already looked around and I've found that there is a lot of value to learn here and a lot that I can contribute here. Yes, I am a hot rodder from the H.A.M.B. but I am an older one who knows how to be polite and play by the local rules. I live in Arizona so I know what HOT is and that cold, white stuff in "winter" that many of you experience, I've seen, but I avoid it.
I build hot rods and trucks for recreation and have done so for over 40 years. For work, I own my own mechanical engineering business designing mechanical, plumbing and industrial piping systems. My experience with hot rods has helped give me a very practical knowledge of how to do things so I can get along well with the refrigeration techs, plumbers and pipe fitters I encounter on projects.
I'm currently "rearranging" my garage since I have a new truck project to work on. Until I finish the rearrangement, the daily driver is parked outside. If you know what 115 F is like outside in the summer, you know that I have a real impetus to get the garage rearranged to get the daily driver back inside before the "Oh My Gosh!" heat gets to Phoenix.
Well that's me, and thanks for allowing me to take part in you forum.
Phil
