Not sure if this qualifies as a vintage tool but it sure is unusual. I bought it today at a yard sale for a dollar. The ultimate lazy man's wrench.Push the rocker switch located on the top of the handle and the electric motor(powered by 2 AAA batteries located in the handle)zips the jaw open and closed. There is even a gauge on either side(one is metric and the other USA)that shows what size wrench you need to get when you get tired of trying to make this one work. Seriously though it looks to be pretty well made(although the jaws aren't serrated)and fairly light in weight because of the design. Anyway I thought people who haven't seen one before would get a kick out of it.

Looks like a junky father's day gimmick tool to me. There's probably a reason a lot of people haven't seen them...

My Father bought one when he first got Parkinson's. He owned and operated a HVAC Contractor service, and worked for as long as he could before he filed for disability. Looking back, that was a big mistake. With that said, he did use the tool, and it worked well for his purposes. He complained about the bulk of the tool.

There was also the B&D Auto clamp. When they advertised these on tv my standing order to my wife was to not buy me one or she would receive a battery powered spoon to stir her coffee.
