Got up this morning excited to install my garage heater vertical B vent. Positioned the heater where I want it in the corner of shop and realized the B vent will go up through the baffle in the attic. Is this ok? Do I just go right through it and maintain a 1” clearance? Picture for a visual, the vent needs to slide back under the baffle once I cut the hole another 10 inches.

Just shorten that baffle. I have found that Dura-Vent and Selkirk make the easiest B-vent to install as they both have an easier locking system that the Ameri-vent you are showing. The AV works, just not as easily.
