Do any baby bullet aficionados know if they ever came with brass nuts? I am restoring a 2” and want to get it factory. I can make steel ones if brass is not original. They do look original to me.. Date is 11/46, Schiller Park.

Side question; are there measurements/cad on the nuts somewhere in the event I need to reproduce them? Thanks.

I've got one dated 12-46 and the acorn nuts are exactly like the picture you posted - brass with a steel cross pin. Same exact swage on the ends of the cross pin, too. Mine's in original paint with some of the original label intact, I've no doubt they are original to it. Hope that helps.

I'll second what @dcummer stated. The following photos are from a Wilton "Baby" vise with a date-code of 4-47, in original condition.

Hah! I wish that was my vise. I have a couple "Baby" vises from that era, but not like the one I used as an example.

I love vise puzzles, so I collect a lot of vise data, including photos. Most of the vise photos in my database come from completed sales on eBay.
