Was on a Mac truck today and noticed the MR4C mini ratchet and when the guy told me it was $100 for a 1/4 metric socket set and get the ratchet free i had to buy it. Thats my 4 month old daughter figured i better put chrome in her hands before mommy puts dolls in them.

She must like it, she's already drooling all over it!

That's a great picture!

Super-cute little girl you have.

I agree with your philosophy 100%; get them interested in tools, projects, and time with dad early on!

Garage Journal members are going to raise a whole lot of daughters that will end up being the man of the house someday.

Well done! She's quite the cutie for sure! Start em off early is my philosophy. My little guy( 1.5 yr old) is more into ratcheting screwdrivers but he does like his snappy fhnf100 I put a hard handle on for him!

When I got my full-polish Craftsman combo wrenches, I was trying to make sure they were all there according to the packing list and my 18 month old daughter kept taking and walking off with some of the wrenches, very frustrating, took me forever to finally check them all :)

Nice,

Here's my daughter checking out my tools. After this visit I found all my sockets swapped onto the wrong slots on my Hansen trays. I let her inspect and play with whatever she wants right now. Later though the kids will have to earn the right to handle them. I do actually make a living with mine so it's important the respect them.

Here's my son I think his second day in this world. My Snappy dealer gave him that shorty 10MM and said he wanted to start him out right with the best :)

Here's a picture of my now 3 year old son and I changing the oil on Mommy's car. He pays attention and tends to try to put tools back where they go, which is more than I can say of me when I was that age. It is good to see others keeping their kids interested in these things. Thank you again GJ!

Nice. I had the problem of my daughter using my tools to "fix" her bike. I finally rounded up a lot of my "extras/doubles" and put a blob of pink nail polish on them and got her a pink tool bag. Anything that has pink on it is hers. Anything without pink is mine and off limits.

Everytime the Snappy dealer gets pink tools I get them for my daughter. So far she has a ratching screwdriver and a 3 pc. plier set and some pink screwdrivers.
