Bacho Rachet Screwdrivers

Hello all again,
I have a few questions about Bacho rachet screwdrivers,I was in a local hardware & diy store beside me over the weekend which I seen a Bacho rachet screwdrivers which they are selling for the past two to three euros,
Even though I have a Teng Tools Rachet Screwdriver set http://www.ebay.ie/itm/TENG-74-Piece-Ratchet-Screwdriver-Bit-Set-TTMD74-/130582992251 which has a lifetime gaurnatee no questions asked which I like and is used regularly. I would not mind getting a second set for home use

My workmates tell me they are made by Snap-On so thats no bad thing if its true

Do they have a lifetime gaurantee?? as I get on really well with the staff who works in my local hardware & diy store

Made in tiawan. Not a bad thing. Here in the states the sell a blue point version. Bahco is a branch of snap on. I TRIED one and it felt great. Selector is cast, not plastic. Ive been eyeballing the pistol version

I own the Britool versions of that 45 tooth, fixed blade, standard length ratcheting handle; stubby length ratcheting handle, removable blade and bit set; and convertible, pistol grip/straight handle, removable blade and bit set. The ratcheting screwdriver (Britool, Bahco, SK (discontinued)) has great build quality; and smooth, ratcheting action with a hefty selector switch. The selector switch is way better than the one on Gearwrench ratcheting screwdriver models where the slightest touch easily changes the ratcheting direction. All the ratcheting screwdrivers are made in Taiwan.

I bought the 3 Britool models from an English eBay seller and from "quattrojon". "quattrojon" is an English mobile tool dealer and GarageJournal member. I would highly recommend buying from him. On a couple occasions, we traded Koken and Brittool hand tools for me with Wright combination wrenches for him. I purchased the Wright wrenches from a local industrial tool supply store.

I have the exact three ones that you posted.

I'm happy with them. The ratcheting action is much better than cheaper options I think, and ok formed handles. One thing I would wish for is that they all had interchangeable shanks. Only having it on the stubby one is a bit odd. They're not high-use tools for me, I usually use a bit socket and a swivel ratchet or the bit ratchet.

those drivers were made by reverse gear. someone from the company is a member here(user name "reverse gear") they used to be sold under the sk label and were available as a long shank pivoting straight/pistol grip and the stubbie versions. i have both.

I get free delivery to Sweden for those, so I can't imagine that you can't get it to Ireland.

I have no experience of Bahco warranty. They should be covered:

Wiha makes a semi-pistol grip ratcheting driver similar to the Bahco one, called the Topra, I believe. I've got one in the toolbox that I normally use for 1/4" drive duties, since it allows almost as much torque as a regular ratchet to be applied, but is more ergonomic and allows easy switching to regular screwdriver bits. It's a gearless ratcheting system, and has forward, reverse, and fixed positions.
