It’s been a few mins since I’ve posted in here. After graduating college, selling my house, moving across the state, finding a great apartment, buying a few more toys, lucking our into a good relationship, finding a great job within a great company I bit the bullet and bought a house last night.
Nothing massive like I had before but I really like it. Only major drawback is there is no shop/garage. The upside is, that there is no shop/garage!! Clean slate so to speak. Due to a few factors of the property I will be limited on size, good news is that the township has no site inspections or building inspections on structures under 1000sq ft. Due to some hard features of the property I’ve decided that 26’ deep and 38’ wide is my maximum footprint. That yields 988 sq ft, not nearly large enough, so I’m adding 18’ walls to allow for a lift in the left most bay and a mezzanine over the rest. Not as large as I want, but plenty enough when I also have a 12x20 shed and a parking area that will easily hold 8-10 cars. I take possession on 10/30.
I’m researching radiant heat floors and their costs now. I’d like to get the pad done before the snow flies so I can start building as soon as lumber prices come back down. I’m still comparing stick build to post barn construction.
Anyway just wanted to say “what’s up” to the people who know me from here and give a brief introduction to those who don’t.
