Bad experience with Sears.com

My gf bought me a shop vac from sears.com and scheduled it for in store pickup. We picked a location that had it in stock. I planned to pick it up the next morning. I never got the email say that the order is ready to be picked up. I called the store to find out if they actually had them in stock. The store employee checked and said that they had several, but he could not give me one until sears.com sent me the confirmation email. So then i called sears.com customer service. The person i talked to advised me that she would process it right away and i would receive my confirmation email. I waited the rest of the day and never got the email. Later that night my gf called them back. The person she spoke with basically told her that the first person i talked to lied because they can't actually do that. All they can do is send an email to the processing center. So today i have been sitting around waiting for my confirmation email and still nothing.

In the past i have done in store pick ups and they process right away when the store has the item in stock. I guess i just got screwed this time.

Screw Sears. Haven't been in any of their stores in many years. Not missing a thing.

Last time I had to wait and wait at a customer service counter. Obviously they didn't want my $money$ or business.

Never had a problem here. I've use it from the store on my phone when the price was higher instore than online. The store guys get a kick out of that. Maybe the wimmins did something wrong...

This is the first time I've had a problem. The thing that bothers me the most is that they were able to draw the money out of my gf's bank account immediately, but its been 3 days and they can't process my order.

Sears gives me a headache. Bought something online and paid with paypal..wanted to return it...went to the store..they tried to do it..and then they said there was no way to refund me with paypal..so i got a gift card..and got the premium ratchets...well once seized up and decided to bring them back..well had to do the same thing..and finally used the rest of the dang thing and swore to never buy online again. The store and online stuff seem to be completely different worlds at our sears..plus their computers are like from the 1980's...and the people have NO idea how to use them..I could have typed all my info in by the time he finished my name...

Sears website blows. This happened to me a couple of times in the past. I just take a printout of the original order in and show it to the person at the desk. I've always gotten it that way, but it's a hassle I would prefer not to have.

I've also been really disappointed with their online ordering. I ordered the SAE 1/2" Deep Impact set and they sent me a tracking number that states it was delivered to my local Sears last Friday (1/11/13). Still waiting for them to send me the confirmation email that I can pick it up. Their website says I should expect to hear about the "Next Step" 1/22/13. Why does it take more than a couple days to schedule it for In-Store Pickup after it gets to the store?

Two weeks ago I ordered tool chest online that gave away a great blow out deal. Its ball bearing 26 inches 4 drawer rollaway. I think it was on sale for $150. Did receive the pick up confirmation thru email. At that time I was out of town, and I begged my mom to go over there with my pickup truck to get it. Those two scums from pickup merchandise center threw box over up in the air and landed it hard on the flatbed from what my mom told me. By the time I got back home, its still sitting outside on flatbed.. I had to unload it with my 220 lb physical frame..and had it on the dolly safely with tlc. I opened the box and saw the condition of tool-chest which I wasn't pleased with. It has some marks and dents from those p.o.s threw it over like its a featherweight. I called sears customer service to put complaint and I got 35 bucks discount which is better than nothing. Still I want more!!!

The roll away toolboxes; get damaged in freight/delivery from the dock; all the time! Always, inspect your box; before you leave Sears and ask for another one if it is damaged. This will eliminate the need for a comeback and all the brain damage involved. If you look in the clearance section on the floor of most Sears; you typically, will find a damaged boxes for sale at discounted prices all the time!

^this

Nearly every box I have, I bought from the dent and ding section. The one that I bought new was loaded correctly without issue or damage.

Come to think of it, in 40 some odd years of buying/ordering stuff from various vendors, stores, tools trucks or whatever I can count the issues I've had on one hand.

I guess some folks are just **** happens to me magnets and they seem to flock to this web-site

Sears website blows.

I agree - I tried 3 times last week to look up some Craftsman sockets on their website, it locked up all 3 times and I never could get the info I needed. Not a good experience.

My 2 Snap-on top boxes, 2 Snap-on bottom boxes, Waterloo top box, Black Hawk top and bottom box, Sears top and bottom box and Wards PowerKraft 12 drawer top box were all scratch and dent. Guess that's 'cause they were all used!!!!:eek:

And to sum Sears up.........they .........well, you know. There's too many other stores that WANT my money and treat me as a good customer.
