A friend of mine has a set of Craftsman nut drivers that have the awful stench of vomit infused with ******.

I voluntarily bought him a set of Wera nutdrivers to replace them

Errrrrr. Thats a story we dont want to hear.

I've got a black hard handle snap on stubby screwdriver that "sweats" in the summer.

That is a known defect of the SO hard handles of certain vintage. All of the three sided handles, and possibly some others. The plastic will eventually crack as it dries out and crumble. SO will warranty it.
