Anyone ever purchase Heating supplies for Badgerinsulatedpipe.com?

The sell components for heating systems like insulated Pex, Heat Exchangers, Hydronic Ceiling mounted heaters etc?

Prices seem very affordable, but I can't find much info on them so I'm looking for reviews of their products and service?

Thanks,
Bob

The problem with that type of pipe is that the outside will become damaged and over time the pipe will fill with water and/or the poor insulation from the bubble pack allows the inside of the drain tile to warm and cause condensation and will fill the pipe half full of water in a couple of years and create tremendous heat loss. You are much better off using a product with a heavier outside shell and full of closed cell polystyrene.

As far as the heat exchangers they look to be pretty well built.

I'm actually not going to bury this Pipe, so the water infiltration shouldn't be an issue. My new garage addition, that I plan to heat, is on the far end of my existing garage, so I need the insulated pipe to run from my basement Boiler through 36' of an Unheated Garage (suspended along an interior wall/ceiling) into the new (heated) Garage. So for this purpose I think the insulated pipe will work, in fact I can order it without the hard Plastic Tile.

Thanks,
Bob

What size is the space you're heating and is it insulated well? I plan to buy the 100k unit which is overkill, I calculated I need 50k BTU for my 1200 sf Garage, but with the low cost of the 100k I figure the extra BTU's will allow me to heat up the garage faster, since I plan on keeping it at 45 deg when not working in there.

What is the Finish on the Badger Heater, it looks unpainted? Does it come with mounting Hardware? How did you suspend it?

Thanks,
Bob

Agree, in that situation it will probably work fine. If you were to install a temp gauge at each end of the supply line you could see what the heat loss is, then insulate a little more if it seemed worth it. You might also consider building a box out of 2" styrofoam and then just run your pex through it.
