I purchased an item from member Bagged89s10.

10/21/22 contacted the member about an item listed on ebay. Some back and forth with the member about the item, negotiated price.

10/25/22 funds sent via Paypal, no response from member.

10/26/22 member responds after email sent with "give me a little time and I'll get it boxed up and shipped out"

11/03/22 tried to contact the member about the ebay ad for the item still being up and my concern that someone might "buy it now" and I'd lose the item. Member finally removed the ebay ad.

The member had mentioned being busy and other obligations (something about an inspection). I tried to appeal to reason and tell him that since I paid up front that he is also obligated to me.

11/23/22 Sent several emails to the member about his lack of communication. Most responses were one sentence or less. Finally received the response "It's going to take me a while to get this out. I'll refund you if you want."

At this point I felt stuck. I wanted the item and it is quite rare. I asked the member how long "a while" is. He replied with three weeks and said he'd get it out by Christmas. I agreed only because I knew if I filed a Paypal dispute he wouldn't ship it out in the week they allow and I'd lose the item. I reluctantly agreed to the three weeks. I had to reach out the week of Christmas for status yet again and was surprised to hear it would be shipped. Within a couple days I had tracking info. The item did show up and was nicely packed. I wanted to stick to the facts of this. Over two months to receive and item and not one word of apology or any kind of regret. Yes, I got my item, but I expect better.

I’m glad the jaw arrived safely. Sorry for the delay and lack of communication ad i was honestly not checking my personal email much for the last few months. It was just bad timing as I needed to get things completed for inspection on my house, as well as ensuring everything was ready for the insulating and drywall contractors. It was an hectic couple of months. And to add to the it all, my father ended up in the hospital the day I had planned to package it up and ship it out, but I made it happen. I also didn’t want to ship the vise dynamic jaw without a proper crate and risk damage. I agree I should have handled the situation differently. Apologies again. Hopefully you have a complete vise now.
