Bahco 1/4 Ratchet blocks

Hello Guys,

I just received the Bahco 3/8 and 1/4 Ratchets (Snap on dual 80s)

The 3/8 is smooth but the 1/4 blocks a lot on the "backwards motion".Did anybody else had the same experience?

I was thinking of cleaning the inside or should I send it back?

I do not own any of the Bahco ratchets you mentioned above. However, I own an Armstrong 3/8" drive Maxx locking flex ratchet (60 tooth). Recently, the ratchet was locking and reversing during use. To cure these issues, I cleaned the inside with brake cleaner. I then lubed the gear and pawl with light machine oil such as 3-In-One Oil. If this does not help, I would send the 1/4" drive Bahco back to the retailer. Good luck!

I'd definitely exchange a brand new ratchet that wasn't working properly.

I've got the 3/8ths drive, works great both directions. Don't have the 1/4

My 1/4 Bahco binds pretty bad also. was thinking about warrantying it but I have to pay shipping.

Does anyone know how much a 1/4" dr. snap-on rebuild kit costs? Might just buy one instead of paying shipping.
