Thanks for posting. I was just looking for Knipex deals when I saw your post. I looked on Amazon.de it's cheaper for amazon prime members than any cyber Monday deal here in the states.

Those Bahco do seems inexpensive, I wonder where they're made?

I looked up the kit on Google and everything I've found says Spain. Whatever that's worth, most have said the Bahco stuff has English print on it.

Works for me but maybe try the 49.02 one that is sold by Amazon.de.

Click the link for "Other sellers on Amazon" on the right side to see list.

Also, you can change language to English for easier navigating; just go below the search button you'll see a world globe logo with a pull down page, select EN.

FYI, this set includes 18, 1/2" inch, 6-point sockets: 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 27, 30, 32 mm

Every time I try to post a link I have found on Amazon.de it automatically gets changed to a link that goes to the US version on Amazon.com. The links above are doing that.

The only way I've found to work is to go directly to Amazon.de first, then put in the item description in the search bar. It will find the item then.

It appears that the COO might be Taiwan. Not that that is a bad thing, some quality stuff is made there.

Ouch, good info and looks like it's not made from the old world after all. Taiwan can be pretty good and usually waaay better than mainland asia (ROC) but makes the deal a little cooler.

Been trying hard recently to buy/invest tools made (COO) in Swiss, Germany, UK, USA & Sweden during these sales to help offset there higher cost but at least they will most likely last a life time. Every year its getting harder and harder and more expensive to get these tools. Amazon sites abroad help acquire those tools.

Bahco has nice tools but looks like you have to really do your homework to find the COO as they're having tools being made all over the world and Bahco is not publishing that info.

I have that ratchet, came in a nice 1/2" and 1/4" ratchet hard case like that.

All made in Taiwan. Good, not great tho.

I could very well be wrong but i'm guessing that the S-O customer service agent is as confused as much as we are.

After reading reviews and questions for a bunch of other similar socket sots on a.de, a.uk & a.com (usa). The answers varied but for the most well answered ones they state that the only place COO is mentioned on any part of the tool set is on the outside cardboard cover that the item is packed in and that has said Taiwan. None of the tools are marked with COO.

I will say almost everyone in all three countries have given the various Bahco socket sets a 5 star rating. It's a good price and have to thank DTuck for posting it.

Was happy to find Bahco, not aware they were bought by Snap-On Industries.
Asked the dealer, yes, most is made in Spain (and their economy and labor rates have been in the dumpster for a while, makes sense to move there).
Probably similar to buying Wera items made in Czech Republic.
Also picked up that some Blue-Point items are made in the same facility.

Quick hijack:
The sockets hold up but are very(!) thick-walled.

What are you guys seeing for shipping from amazon.de?

When first posted it was only $6.60 with AmazonGlobal standard and $5.30 with standard and without any glitches..

It's now showing me $21.27 for AmazonGlobal standard. On top of that, Most of the other different Bahco items I tried buying on amazon.de now won't ship to the US.

Now I get message while checking out that the items do not ship to the US.

Last week I was able to order several different purchases of Bahco, Kinpex and PB Swiss for extremely reasonable shipping prices but when I tried this week to order some more all the items (different & same sizes) are now not shippable to USA. I then tried other completely different items with same results. I did find one item that would ship but wanted 35 euros to ship a small item.

I will say the items I bought last Friday via AmazonGlobal Standard shipping method are already on there way here from Germany are scheduled to arrive on the 4th.

Some items go from unavailable in the US to available on what seems to be a weekly basis. I had some Wera hex plus socket sets I bought that were available in the US for what seems like a 24hour period, and ever since had been marked as unavailable. Third party sellers also generally don't ship to the US on Amazon.de either.

It's somewhat frustrating because there are some random sets I'd like to get that Amazon won't ship to the US for some reason. Even worse are when buying individual tools and 2 out of 10 sizes won't ship to the US, but the rest will.

Zoro.de actually has better pricing than Amazon, but I can't figure out if they'll actually ship to the US. It's all frustrating, but worth it when you can get tools for <1/2 the price that they're available for in the US.

I was so surprised when Amazon delivered the package today. Given that it was coming from Germany and I live in Canada I was quite pleased. Only ordered it on the 28th.

Regardless of the coo, this is a really nice set. The case is much more rugged than expected, especially the latches (which always seem to break).

Satin finish seems to be popular in Europe. Everything appears to be top notch. All said and done, the set cost about $117cad ($92usd). Though not cheap, it was less than the 24pc Williams (Taiwan) set which was sockets only. 18 sockets, a ratcheted , a breaker bar, 3 extensions and a universal make this a great deal in my books.

I would certainly recommend this set to anyone interested.
