Anyone have the Bahco adjustable wrenches? I took a look at them, and they make a few different ones. Are they worth the price? I think a set of the wide ones would be nice to have? Thanks

I have a couple sets of their pliers. I like them. They open wide. They were on closeout when I bought them though. And they are made in France.

These are the best adjustable wrenches ever. At Sea we call them shifters and I doubt you will find a ship afloat where the watchkeeping engineer is not carrying a shifter and 99% of those will be Bahco. Obviously they are no match for the correct size spanner (wrench) but as a tool for making quick adjustments to machinery while its running there is nothing better. Bahco invented the shifter and they are still the best. I believe Snap-On are the parent company these days and I notice that modern snap-on shifters are starting to look very similar to their Bahco cousins.

My box at work is full of Bahco adjustablses made in sweaden. Top notch IMO the best adjustable. Alot of people dont like them because the adjustment is backwards but I prefer them because they are not overly heavy. The head and the hanlde are thinner than most adjustables.

They are the premier adjustable in my book. Reversible pipe wrench adjustable wrench combo is unmatchable. Older volvo wrench is the smoothest wrench of the lot with the shallowest pitch knurl I've see. They invented it and in my opinion they are still the best...

Definitely the best shifters I've tried. I carry a wide mouth 8" and a regular 6" in my tool bag. The 6" does the smaller stuff that the wide mouth can't get to, and the 8" does everything else. The 8" is made in Sweden and the 6" in Spain, and honestly I can't notice a difference in quality. Model numbers are 9031 and 9070.
