What made you think the majority of Bahco tools were Spanish?

I'm not trying to bash you, but I've never really heard that. The adjustable wrenches and some other tools may be produced in Spain by one of the companies SO owns.

I think I've read that here. Plus the ratchets I have that are Bahco are Spanish I believe.

Bash away, I have decently thick skin. :D

For a guy who has twins coming in 9 days, I'm trying to get all of this out of the way now....since later will be chaos. :D

Congratulations, and enjoy those twins! At least you'll know where they were made...!

BTW, how are the the ratcheting drivers? I always assume something is made in Asia, unless specifically called-out otherwise. It gets confusing, and i swear these companies count on us being confused, and spending decent money for China/Taiwan stuff.

Williams is a good example, most of their stuff is now Taiwan, decent tools, but there is a lot of other choices for Taiwan that costs less. However, they still do have some nice USA products, but you have to check, or you may end up with the cheap stuff...

Bahco stuff is made all over. Hell, some of it is US made. My Bahco 80 tooth ratchets are made in Spain.:bounce:
The ratcheting screwdrivers are made by high five and have reverse gear on the face if I remember correctly. Post a picture of the offending screwdriver.

Hell ya! They even stamp Williams wrenches with the Bahco name. Made in USA. :)

My Williams screwdrivers are made in USA, but the plastic bag they came in proudly had "Made by ChiComm, Inc" (well, OK, maybe just "Made in China"), and that has brought up some conversation here before. Are you sure you're not getting confused by the COO of the packaging?

He isnt getting confused by the packaging the Bacho/ Blue Point ratcheting screw drivers are made in Taiwan..

I bought my g.f. the Blue point version years ago and actually liked it then I gave out a few as christmas gifts last year to people.

The bits are no where near as good as the Snap on's but the driver has a metal collar and is pretty good especially compared to the crapsman and ect. IMO

For the price you could have bought a USA Williams one though

I think they moved production to Taiwan for improved quality, expect to see Taiwan used a lot in their advertising and marketing.

As the father of twin girls (plus a third daughter), congratulations and good call. On the off chance you actually see your new tools in the next year, you won't be able to identify what it is or why you needed it. The COO won't even matter. BTW, all 3 of mine are the best thing that ever happened to me. Relish the chaos. Wou'll miss it when it's gone.

Believe the adjustables are indeed Spanish, but nothing wrong with Craftsman adjustables if your wallet is a little empty. Western Forge, good stuff.
