Return it, I would. Always be suspicious when a tool doesn't have it's COO stated, chances are it's Asian junk. And you can always contact the seller and ask, I do it all the time.

nop we are not manufacture any wrenches anymore, they shuted down the production for 8-10 years ago. The wrenches have been made in Spain since then. It´s a sad story. Because Bahco were soo good at what they were doing. Something too be proud of,so too speak.

I don't think it's a counterfeit.
I have contacted Bahco by email and showed them my disappointment. I am waiting for their response.

Well, from the photos it looks alot better than the Bahco tube cutting tool I saw the other day in a toolshop. It still had all the rough edges on it from when it was cast that hadnt been cleaned up at all, and only one side of it was even painted, while about 60% of the other side was just bare steel covered in surface rust.
I was tempted to buy it just to take photos to show what a piece of junk it was, but it wasnt even cheap, it still cost $29

I don't either. Who would counterfeit a tool and then advertise that it was made in China? Hardly stands to reason, does it?
Actually the wrench feels that it is carelessly made as well. It seems that Bahco have really lowered their standards.
Yes, maybe I expected too much for that price. But from a company like Bahco I expected something better.
Are Ridgid tools available in European online stores? I have never viewed a webstore selling them.

That's $15 - $25 (depending on currency) for an 8" pipe wrench, I'd expect a decent non Asian pipe wrench.

Gibbs Tools in Aberdeen , Scotland , carry Ridgid tools. Also Facom , Proto, Gedore and various other brands.

A lot of Bahco stuff has been outsourced in the last year or two. I got some of their carbide burrs a while back, and they were nowhere near what they used to be. I didn't notice any COO markings, but the quality definitely slipped.
I prefer the old GOOD STUFF from Sweden...
Ones made in Germany or Argentina are also as good. I do have pipe wrenches from 1960's that was given to family as gift all three sizes, new ones are very flexible and there for you see lot of them for sale and broken, Bahco tools you like to own are marked as "Bahco Stockholm".

Well, outside of boxes are bad condition, you can see the 1/2" case has kind of "box" stamped, there just reads with white letters "Bahco Sweden".
1/4" box has no paint on outside.
3/4 Reads "Bahco Argentina" with rised stamped letters, funny as 3/4 ratchet is Made in Sweden, extension in Argentina and sockets in W. Germany.
My Bahco tools are all pre 1990's, but if it reads Stockholm or B. A. Hjort & Co it is from pre 1970's

Nice Bahco collection! I am born and living in sweden and it is so sad that bahco is not "Bahco" anymore! Old bahco was the best tools you could buy all categories! Bahco pu stockholm combo wrenches is insane! Ultra thin and ultra strong! Todays tool is real **** compare to the old...China bahco is total junk, taiwan is ok some tools(not to compare to the old, but it is working for (diy).
