Guys, do you think these are pretty close to the same as the williams sockets. They seem to have the same shape/taper.

I have never heard of US made bahco sockets. Anyone have any to take some pictures? Do they market those overseas?

They don't market them in the U.K.

There's a fair amount of Bahco around, mostly in DIY stores, but it's dog rough far eastern stuff, and well overpriced!

Bahco has nothing to do with SK or Facom IIRC.

My understanding was that williams/snapon/bahco used the bahco name to sell a re-label of williams to the n. america domestic market. sockets are only sae/af sizes. No metric. All metric bahco is european.

Of the european/metric stuff, there is bahco/belzer/sankvic (made in germany, red metal boxes) which is exceptionally good, and then there is cheap imports on the level with say Proxxon or Toptul from taiwan (orange blow mold cases).

The price/quality/value discrepancy of some of this stuff is massive.

Oh, and then on top of that Bahco spain also did a re-badge f-80 series ratchet, which seems to not be the ratchet in most sets.

Facom used to own SK but has never had a relationship with Bahco or Williams that I am aware. Bahco was sedish/german before Snap on bought it out; Facom was always French.

sandvik - polished/germany - accent is black, red case metal (1980-90s)
bahco eu - matte/asia - accent is orange ergonomic/blow mold case orange/blk
bahco dual 80 - chrome - accent blk/orange ergonomic grip
bahco/usa - polished williams/usa

Most of the USA Bahco sockets I've seen on eBay look virtually identical to Snap-on or Williams USA sockets in design, but maybe with different (less shiny) chrome. A telltale rare characteristic they share is the minimal chamfer.

I have however seen some Bahco USA sockets that are different with more chamfer, possibly made by SK instead.

I've always thought those Bahco sets were very mysterious with the weird boxes, weird set groupings, and apparently varying designs/manufacturers. Many of the sets look like good stuff at cheap prices though.
